Working closely with the students from remote parts of Tamilnadu and addressing their challenges helped SRI VIVEKANANDA SOCIAL FOUNDATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST to understand the ground realities in providing equal opportunities for quality education. It also helped SRI VIVEKANANDA SOCIAL FOUNDATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST to evaluate the needs and made the team realise that their efforts have to become manifold to make any real difference in the lives of these children.

Setup for the specific purpose of putting the benefits of good education within the grasp of the underprivileged, SRI VIVEKANANDA SOCIAL FOUNDATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST has tried to reach out to the neediest of the millions of disadvantaged children tamilnadu, predominally first generation learners studying in rural government schools.

Every year SRI VIVEKANANDA SOCIAL FOUNDATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST receives hundreds of applications requesting financial help for higher education. There is rigorous scoring system in place to identify deserving students. Students are assisted with application and admission process at various colleges.

In the year 2013, SRI VIVEKANANDA SOCIAL FOUNDATION AND CHARITABLE TRUST, with significant contributions from trustees and other donors, gained momentum and started by supporting 160 students from Tamilnadu in their pursuit of college education. Since then the program has grown and now supports around 1000 students from tamilnadu.

To develop the Government school students holistically in terms of Ownership, Skills, kindle their interest in Sports, arts & science. Thus making their learning curve a enjoyable and memorable experience, volunteers are the driving factors for this program, they device and understand the childrens need and become the powerhouse of confidence and guiding factors for the children and completely involve in implementing.

Our journey now focuses on grooming the govt school children with all the required skills, as we have realized these kids have a lot of potential and skills. They are our vulnerable change agents and difference when imparted to them is carried through the school their life and society at large, and so far these trainings happen within the school premises in the schools preferred timing.
